What is the biggest mistake people make after a board and train?
They expect to do this without continuing the training. They go for a walk thinking their dog won’t pull them, and only try to correct after the dog is already pulled them out of the house and down the street.
Generally speaking, most people wait until it’s too late to communicate with their dog. If you wait for the negative behavior to start, you are too late.
Communicate early and before the behavior.
I don’t want to see the dog react towards other dogs and people! My job and yours, is to stop him from being reactive in the first place.
If you see a trainer with a dog, the one thing they all have in common is this:
We are ALWAYS in training mode! We like to call it active training. If you are not engaging with your dog and having fun, they will find something else to do.
